I’m not the sort of person who goes running around talking about operating expenses and how to reduce your outgoing payments, because I honestly never gave it much of a thought until recently. I went to sit down with my accountant, and he was absolutely flabbergasted at the amount of money I was paying out on a monthly basis. He strongly recommended I talk to a business consultant and help get some of my operating costs pared down. While I could claim a lot of those things on my taxes, it was obviously better not to be paying them in the first place. The first thing the business consultant recommended was that I start combining services under one provider wherever I could, while keeping reliability in mind. The first and easiest thing was actually phone and internet, he told me. He told me to give small business xo a call, and it couldn’t have been easier. I’d been limping along using the same phone and internet provider I used at my house, which I’m a little embarrassed to admit.. I got much more reliable and faster service, and can’t believe I was silly enough not to think of it sooner.

My favorite show, Spartacus, has been between seasons for a while now. It really is a sad story because the lead actor, Andy Whitfield, recently died of cancer after the first season. This man was an amazing actor and I really thought that they would cancel the series due to this. He was the show. Spartacus is about a man who is captured into slavery and forced to fight in the gladiator games of ancient Rome. He rises up from nothing to be the ultimate champion of the games. While still a slave he gains favor with his master and respect among his fellow gladiators. This show is very violent and action packed, it’s my kind of show. While browsing my DIRECTV I saw a commercial for season 2. While I was saddened with the death of Andy, I was very pleased to hear that they recast his role and decided to continue with the series. I hope that the new actor replacing him is half of the actor he was, because this show has the potential to be a huge hit.

This post we will move on into another low cloud which is also part of the Cumulus family however it is called a Towering Cumulus Cloud.

As you can see Towering Cumuls clouds have a higher vertical extent in the sky than the do Cumulus clouds. TCU clouds for short are just Cumulus clouds that have developed further along in their life cycle.

Happy Cloudy Watching!!!

This post we are going to take a look at a few types of clouds that are found in the lower layer of the atmosphere.

They are called Low clouds, we will look at the Cumulus cloud for this post.

Cumuls Clouds just like these from when there is warm moist air that rises up into the atmosphere. These clouds are very   typical during the summer.

Happy Cloud Watching!!

In January of 2010, I took this photo of New Orleans from the Hurricane Hunters flight that I was on.

The Weather Channel on DIRECTV led me to believe this day would be ruled by rain and fog. They were right. This day begged for lit candles, hot baths, and PJ’s all day. Norah Jones in the background plays low and soft and the house takes on a feeling of warmth and comfort. Hot Soup was quickly becoming a necessity. The thought of it filtered its way through my frontal lobe and refused to leave. I could no longer listen to the explosion of ideas detailing the many ways I could create a hot bubbly elixir to comfort us from the inside out. I made my way to the kitchen and began. Spicy Vegetable Soup was born. I poured the kaleidoscope of vegetables into large mugs. The spoon rested on the saucer and even it yearned to taste. The smell alone left me drunk with pleasure. I lifted the mug and watched the steam dance before my eyes. The taste was pure satisfaction and I knew even if I didn’t accomplish another thing today, this day was spent very well.

Saving Money

Post contributed by Leonard Phelps

There are so many ways to save money nowadays, I don’t have any idea why more people don’t take advantage. It’s one thing not to use coupons but it’s totally another thing to just waste money. I’ve been doing some research about Texas electricity providers and that’s helped me put things in perspective in terms of what’s out there for us to take advantage of. I’ve been selling some of our old clothes on Ebay and I’ve even started buying in bulk to knock a few dollars off our monthly grocery bills. My husband is happy our money is stretching farther and I’m excited to have stashed away enough money already to get us started on a vacation fund. It’s funny how much money there is hidden everywhere in your life if only you stop to take a look at where you can get it from. I just don’t know why more people don’t try to slash their bills in every way possible. There’s something to be said for being vigilant about your money!

The Real Estate Game

Thanks for the article from Glenda Hanson

Buying and selling real estate is just what I do and I’ve loved every minute
of it. The last couple of years have been really hard, obviously, but I’m
getting through it and actually making a lot of progress when it comes to having
my cards in order. I had gotten into investment properties and those were doing
well as flip houses but now it turns out they make me more money when I rent
them out. I deck them out with CABLE
TELEVISION
and granite countertops and people go crazy over them – it’s a
win win! I like being so good at what I do and I’m really proud of myself for
weathering this economic storm so well…it’s been a tough road but I’m making it
through. My wife wants to become a part of the business, too, and I’m all for it
although I think she’ll make a better realtor than a house flipper! I guess she
can just stick to teaching until she figures
out exactly how she’s going to fit into the puzzle.

There was one thing that I promised my kids a while back, that as soon as
they were old enough that I would take them to Disney World. I’ve always thought
that it’s silly when people take very small children there because if a kid is 1
or 2 they probably won’t remember all of that great stuff. Better to save a trip
to Disney for when the child is old enough to remember loving it, or at least
that’s my way of thinking.

Our kids are finally that age, so I’m planning a trip for us to go on to
Disney while they’re on fall break this year. While I was looking up some
information for the trip before I booked it, I ran across the website www.getCLEARwirelessinternet.com.
I read through and decided right then to sign up for one of the internet
packages that I saw on there.

I know that Walt Disney World is going to be so magical for them! I know that it was for me
when my parents finally took me to it at the age of 10 years old
